Don't live anywhere that the main industry is tourism.

3/12/08

God forbid that I should ever forget again that every scared and suffering person matters and that no effort to relieve the suffering of even one person is wasted or not worth doing.

A sixteen year old boy with cancer is a boy with cancer, no matter how much privilege he has.  The fact that some may suffer more does not diminish his suffering.

I want to either save everybody or I want to save one person.  To do not good enough for a lot of people is not good enough.

Dr. Paul Farmer climbed a mountain to bring a man a watch.

The poor you will always have with you.

...to look after orphans and widows...

But he gives us more grace.

From my DISC management profile.

"On the surface, you may seem to have a contradictory nature.  For example, you often display great sensitivity, but you may not hesitate to show an aggressive side to get what you want...For the most part you refrain from expressing your emotions."

I'm pretty convinced that every emotion I've ever had was due to either high or low blood sugar.
